Special Marks: She has a thin white scar on her right arm that stretches down from her shoulder to her elbow
Style: Viola is one to wear a variety of clothing, from jeans to skirts to dresses. Her clothing choice is cute and sweet and doesn't make her stand out, which is how she likes it.
Overall Appearance: Viola is, as stated before, a girl who doesn't stand out all that much. She's average height, average weight, so nothing particularly eye-catching in the build area. She's lean and thin with modest curves and a decent body that she would be happy with, had she any care for appearances. Her straight white hair is long, reaches a bit below her chest. Her eyes are doe eyes, large and chocolate brown. She doesn't have all that much muscle, with thin legs and arms, and her skin is pale, a milky white.

Strengths: Clever, excellent at breaking up fights and calming others down, perceptive, good at creating ideas, fast, stealthy
Weaknesses: Shy, can be rather emotionless, not good at talking, socially awkward, compulsive liar, has insomnia, claustrophobia, and panic disorder, pushover, oblivious
Personality: Viola is a sweet girl and rather kind, but she's also very quiet and shy, which doesn't help her in the friends area of life. She prefer's being on her own than being in a crowd, prefers curling up in a corner with a book than going to parties, and would rather play the piano than go on a date. Yeah, she's antisocial and rather socially awkward. She doesn't talk much, and when she does it's quiet, barely a whisper, and the fact that she's always so quiet and appears almost unapproachable has caused her to have what some people consider an eerie air and others simply a shy one. It all really depends on perspective. Viola isn't an open girl. She keeps her thoughts to herself. Opinions, questions, emotions. All of it is kept inside unless asked for, and even then she still might hold back. And it's not that she dislikes talking. Well, she kind of does, but that's not really it. It's more so that she doesn't feel like having herself out in the open. She would rather keep her thoughts unbeknownst to anyone but her than have ten people know what she thinks. It gives her a touch of mystery unintentionally, which sometimes gives her unwanted attention(she despises being in the spotlight; she prefers blending in.) For the most part, she's laid back and keeps calm. It's only in horrible situations that she really gets emotional, and those situations always end up ugly for her. She gets horrible and very severe panic attacks, as she has panic disorder. So when enough anxiety, fear, and other high-stress emotions build up too much, she is no longer able to contain them. These panic attacks normally end up causing dizziness, shortness of breath, horrible trembling and shaking, pounding heart, nausea, and several other symptoms. It's in these moments that she begins to lose grip on reality and go into full panic mode, which is the opposite of how she normally acts. Really, it isn't pretty. It's her panic disorder, which also is accompanied by insomnia and claustrophobia, that really has shaped her personality into a quiet and calm-loving girl who prefers being on her own.

Mother: Aria Nox, 47, excellent relationship. The two are very close, and Viola is always trying to please her mother and make her happy.
Father: Felix Dawn, 49, distant and uneasy relationship. After the divorce Viola went with her mother and dropped her father's name, taking her mother's instead.
Siblings: Sebastian Nox, 20, good relationship. They are close and Sebastian is rather protective over her.
Other Important People: Step-mother: Annalise(Anna) Dawn, 40, rocky relationship. Anna never liked Viola and vice versa. She was the one who ratted on Viola.
Step-sister: Renee Dawn, 16, bad relationship. Renee would always taunt Viola and pick on her, even though Viola was older. She ratted on her mother about Viola.
History: Viola was the second born child of the Dawn family. She was also the last. It was a difficult birthing, and her mother ended up staying in the hospital for several days and was rather feeble afterwards. Viola was a shy child ever since she was born, her only real friend being her older brother Sebastian. The two were very close and stuck together all the time, and Sebastian grew rather protective over her. He would try to encourage her to play with his friends or play with the other little girls, but she would just shake her head wordlessly and shyly stay with her brother. Her parents also tried to coax her to make new friends, but she never did. She was horribly shy and just preferred being on her own or with the family. When she was four she learned to read. She instantly took a liking to it. She also learned how to play the piano and the viola, of which she was named after. Her mother also taught her to sing. She was a natural at all three things, a very musically gifted child. Her parents were pleased. She may not be social, but she was quite good at musical arts. Soon, she proved to be rather good at art, also, and spent any free time that was not occupied with reading, music, or her brother drawing.
Around the age of six, she started having night terrors. Some nights it was so bad that she refused to leave her mother's side for three days, too scared to go anywhere else. She was diagnosed with chronic insomnia. A few months later, she had a night terror and, from that, had her first panic attack. Her mother thought she was having some sort of fit and rushed her to the hospital, where they told her she was having a panic attack. After two more of these attacks within the month, she was diagnosed with panic disorder, and, when they put her in a small area for a moment and she panicked, claustrophobia.
So her parents knew she wasn't a perfect dream child every parent wanted. She had had a difficult birth and proved to be many problems and caused challenges. But they loved her all the same. But they didn't love each other. They started drifting apart, beginning when she was seven. It just wasn't working out. And one night, her mother discovered that her husband, Viola's father, was cheating on her with another woman. Immediately she filed for a divorce, took Viola and Sebastian, and left, moving across the country. Both Viola and Sebastian felt horribly betrayed by their father and Viola especially felt resentment. They talked less and less, and when her father remarried to the woman he had been cheating on her mother with, communication between them stopped all together.
Until about two years ago. Her mother was in a car crash on the way to picking up Viola from the library, and went into a coma. Both Sebastian and Viola were sent to live with their father until their mother recovered. When they got there, they discovered something they did not know; they had a step-sister. And she was only two years younger than Viola. They found that their father had been cheating on their mother since Viola was around the age of one. Their father got her knocked up, and when Viola was two their step-sister was born, Renee. Renee didn't like Viola but did like Sebastian. Both Sebastian and Viola strongly dislike Renee. They also hated their step-mother, the whore their father had cheated on their mother with. Her name was Annalise, who insisted on being called Anna. Around their father, she was angelic. But when he was not around, she was horrid. The classic evil step-mother and evil ctep-sister story. They two didn't dislike Sebastian, however, nearly as much as they disliked Viola. Viola was a constant target for verbal and sometimes physical abuse from the two. Sebastian noticed and tried his best to get them to stop. It was unsuccessful. And Viola never fought them because she hated fighting. So she found something else to do; steal. She was always every stealthy, so it was quite easy for her to sneak around and steal things. The pearl necklace given to Anna from her father when they first met? Gone, and burned in a fire. The stuffed animal Renee treasured and had owned since birth? Gone, thrown in a river. Both prized possessions and important items were all taken and destroyed or sent away. She never told Sebastian, she knew he would tell her it was wrong. But this was her way of revenge. And it lasted for all two years, until her sister caught her.
Renee had invited a group of girls over to her house for a sleepover party for her birthday. All these girls were horrible, slutty popular girls who liked nothing better than to pick on the weak. And who was the weak? Bingo, Viola. So, naturally, while they were all watching a movie, Viola snuck into the room and stole all of their personal belongings. This included a diary full of secrets. Viola ended up passing this along to someone who went to the school Renee went to and who hated Renee and the friend, and the diary was passed on. Let's just say that girl isn't so popular anymore. She also stole other things such as jewelry and clothing, etc. etc. She disposed of most of it, keeping only one thing, an expensive and gorgeous emerald ring. She planned to do something with it. So she hid it in a secret compartment in her desk. Unfortunately, Renee got her hands on it. She informed her mother, and her mother automatically ratted on Viola. Viola was facing jail time; let's just say all those things she had stolen ended up being worth quite a few thousand dollars. But she was given the option to go here. And hey, Viola was too soft for jail. So she agreed to go here instead. And now she wishes for nothing but to get out.

It seemed odd. How people could be so happy. The world wasn't exactly a safe, warm place at the moment. It was cold and dark, full of crime and injustice. A world full of hatred and worry and death and horrid, horrid nightmares. Yet here were all these people smiling and having a good time as they walked throughout the park. Sure, it wasn't exactly a normal day in the park. But still. Today was the start of the three-day festival. Why Pravda was having it, she had no idea. Perhaps it was so people could feel a sense of safety. What a false sense. It was all a lie. A lie conjured up by people desperate to feel a happiness that could no longer be embraced. How foolish.
But who was Rio to criticize?
Rio hadn't been to a festival since she was four. So she couldn't remember once. She vaguely remembered getting purple cotton candy stuck in her hair, but that's all. She had never been to one since, so she had no idea how they worked. Lots of tents were set up all over the park. There were people selling things right and left. Jewelry, books, food, toys. Children ran around laughing and people chatted. It was the scene of a perfect world. Disgusting.
Rio leaned against a tree, licking an ice cream cone. It was strawberry ice cream. Vanilla was disgustingly bland, and chocolate was too rich. She watched people through narrowed eyes, a cynical expression on her face. She sighed as she leaned against the tree, deep in thought. But her thoughts were interrupted by a soft Mew. her eyes blinked wider and she snapped out of her thoughts. "Wah, huh? she looked startled. Here eyes flickered around before looking down. A little kitten sat at her feet, looking up at her with the same happy expression everyone else seemed to be wearing. Rio's eyes softened, "Aw, hello there little kitty." she cooed. The cat was a small white fur ball, indicating that she couldn't be more than a few months old. Rio stooped down and outstretched her hand, ruffling the kittens soft fur. "Hello little boo." she murmured, "What are you doing out here? she scooped up the kitten in her arms, and it meowed contently.
Rio walked over to a bench and took a seat, tossing the last of her ice cream cone into the trash and petting the kitten, who was now squirming around on her lap, with both of her hands. Her black pants were beginning to get littered with white fur. A small smile split across the girl's face.
