Story awoke and quickly realized she wasn't in her own room. Her posters of UFC fighters were missing from the walls. Her blue and red blanket wasn't covering her. "Where am I?", she wondered. Then it hit her... "I'm at Eden!" She remembered the judge never told her when she would be leaving when they discussed her sentence. She did know however that she wasn't alone. There were other people here. People she didn't know. New people she could fight. Story began to wonder how many people were there. She wanted to start planning out who she was going after first. She wondered how they would size up to her abilities. "Yeah right." She said out loud, followed by a snicker. At that moment, her long, messy hair wrapped around her face from her jumping out of bed. She wrapped it up in a sloppy bun as usual. As she walked towards the door, she heard voices and began trying to picture who they belonged to. She picked up her pace and made it to the front door. She walked out and soon came up to the people she heard as she walked up. None of which looked at all how she pictured them. She yelled, "Hey!" And hoped for a smartass response so she had a reason to throw a punch...

Hotaru was just coming out of the forest to go back inside when she heard a shout. "Hey!" Her head jerked up, eyes narrowed. Her expression went blank when she recognized the new girl. Sally? Sara? Story, that was it! Geeze, how many people were there now? She made a mental list, absently ticking each one off on her fingers; Herself, her room mate, Hilo--a slight shiver went through her as she imagined the sexy red head--, the psycho Cerdic, the pervy Ari and his pet Markus, the freaky looking Sonja, and four others whose names she couldn't remember if her life depended on it. So, that would be eleven. Twelve, counting the new girl. Damn, how many people was the oh-so-loveable Master going to kidnap? Taru was just starting to enjoy the island and its lack of inhabitants. The new girl seemed to be waiting for someone to notice her. She looked around the front yard, and sighed before stepping forward. As she moved closer to the girl, she pushed her hands into her pockets, wrapping her fingers around her knives. "Well, well, well. Good morning, Sleeping Beauty." She smirked as she said it, one of her reddish brown eyebrows rising.

Story wondered who this girl thought she was talking to her like that. She studied the girl before responding. Story caught sight of her hair and could imagine it on fire. She snickered at the thought. She decided to play nice... For now. "Name's Story. Who are you and how long have you been here?" She began to look around and take in the grounds. She looked behind the girl and saw what was a wooded area and became very curious. "Wonder what is back there", she thought to herself. She made her way towards the girl with a confusing smile on her face.

Hotaru snickered at the girl. "Story? What kind of name is that?" Her smirk widened slightly. Hm. The girl looked light she would enjoy a fight; if memory served, that was exactly why she'd ended up on this Godforsaken island in the first place. Taru gave a one-shoulder shrug and tilted her head. Her waist-length hair fell over one shoulder to drape over her chest; her bangs also came forward and hid her eyes. Taru used them to hide the fact that she was looking the girl over: They were the same height, though Taru was much thinner. She looked tough.... Taru nearly giggled in glee. Finally, someone who could possibly give her worthy fight! Her smirk shifted into a grin as she pulled her hands out of her pockets; she held her switchblade in her right hand, absently toying with the switch. "Hotaru. My friends call me Taru. At least, they would if I had any friends." This was said with a giggle and a wink.

Story quickly came face to face with the girl who just called herself Taru. "Got an issue with my name?" She started balling her fists up waiting for a smart response so she had a reason to hit this cocky girl. Story looked Taru over again and began to think about how a fight between them would turn out. The girl definitely looked like she could hold her own. "One smartass word. Come on, just one.", Story said to herself.

Hotaru's grin widened, giving her a somewhat psychotic look. Her honey-brown eyes glinted in the sunlight as she took a step towards the girl. The step left less than a foot of distance between their chests. Taru's thumb flicked the switch on her switchblade. The blade slid out with a soft, smooth swishing sound. "As a matter of fact, yes. It makes your parents seem too lazy to come up with a real name..." Come on, hit me! Hotaru almost purred with anticipation. Just one hit....That's all she needed and she could finally sink her knife into something....someONE. Hotaru was practically bouncing with glee.

Story raised her eyebrow at what Taru was saying. It's true she didn't know her mother, but her father was her best friend. Nobody talked about her family that way. She looked at Taru right square in the eye as she swung her right fist and connected with Taru's face. She noticed a knife fly out of Taru's hand when she hit the ground. Story slammed her on the grass and straddled the girl as she continued to lay into the girl who just insulted her father.

Taru had to admit; she was surprised when the girl hit her. Her head whipped to the side as she fell backward. Her hand loosed its grip on her knife; she vaguely saw it fly a few feet to the right and skid another few feet when it hit the ground. Her breath left her in a whoosh when she hit the ground. The other girl instantly straddled her and started hitting her again and again. Hotaru hardly felt the pain. In fact, she reveled in it and the anger that was very quickly building because of it. She let out a low sound that was suspiciously close to a growl as she bucked semi wildly; the action successfully threw Story off of her. Hotaru took the opportunity to jump on top of the other. Her expression turned even more psychotic than it had been before the girl had hit her as she forced the other onto her stomach, holding her head up and back tightly with her hand fisted in her hair. Taru dug her second switchblade out of her left pocket, flicking the switch and pressing the blade to the other's throat so hard it drew a couple drops of blood. Hotaru leaned down and practically purred in Story's ear. "Now now...didn't Mommy ever teach you to play nice with others..."

Story had lost her edge. She should have taken this girl down with one hit. At least. When Taru bent down and said "Now now...didn't Mommy ever teach you to play nice with others..." , Story flung her off of her body. She quickly took that role on. Now straddling Taru's torso, she pushed on the girls throat with her arm. "Listen here. I am NOT scared of you. However, our little rumble will have to continue later. I've worked up an appetite." Story arose and began her walk back inside.

Hotaru wasn't surprised at all when the girl suddenly bucked; in fact she giggled as she fell backwards. Story was on top of her once more and pressing her arm into Taru's throat. A normal girl would be thrashing and crying about now, but then, Hotaru Sohyun was no normal girl. Instead, Taru grinned almost maniacally at the other girl until Story once again got off of her. "Appetite, huh? I've worked one up too, but not for food...." She practically purred the words. As she stood, she picked up both of her switchblades, closed them, and put them back into their rightful places in her front pockets. She gave Story one last wink before turning and skipping back towards the way she had come; time to go find her favorite Ginger and release some of her....frustrations.
