Cerdic frowned as he walked through the front yard. He nervously smoothed down his suit vest, black as always. Looking up at the place he now called home, Cerdic couldn’t help but feel as if he deserved this fate. . . but he really wished he didn’t have to deal with it. Sighing, Cerdic walked up to a tree and leaned his back against it. He crossed his arms and gazed out, eyes glazing over before closing. His eyes snapped open suddenly, a minute or so later. Pushing himself off the tree, an uncharacteristic smirk crossed his face and he looked at his hands. However, it turned into a frown as he noticed the way his hands seemed to move in slow motion, despite the fact that he knew he was waving them quickly. The frown turned into an ugly sneer. “Tch, figures. He’s getting too good at taking back his body. I can’t believe that I-“ Cerdic cut himself off as a bird landed on his head. Growling angrily, he grabbed for it, snatching the bird’s neck before it could get away. Without thinking, he snapped the bird’s neck and tossed it. As if the bird landing on the ground meant something, Cerdic grasped his head when a sharp pain seared through it. Next thing he knew, he was falling backwards, unconscious. Before he lost himself, however, he cursed. That had been almost no time at all!

It had been almost one month exactly since her arrival to Eden. Three weeks, six days, eleven hours, forty-three minutes. Not that she was counting. The castle had gone all but deathly silent, as it tended to do around twilight while everyone was out of the dorm rooms. Sitting at the window, Avalon's brown eyes turned glassy as she watched the new boy walk around the front yard and snap the neck of a harmless bird. The petite red head gasped and jumped up, dashing out of the room. The bird will be okay! Her mind reminded her, but her conscious wasn't convinced. Though not very fond of humans, Avalon had a soft spot in her heart for small animals. In her hurry, Avalon lost her footing on the steps and slid down, cursing every few feet as she fell. Adrenalin rushing, the pain didn't hit her brain. She continued to run out into the yard, barefoot and to where the man stood. "What in the world!" She spoke, sliding in the grass and picking up the bird, trying to feel a pulse.

How long had she been here? Days? Weeks? She no longer knew. A soft sigh escaped Hotaru's lips as she walked through the forest toward the Castle. After spending the last few hours strolling through the cemetery, she needed something better to do with her time. Perhaps she would give the other 'guests' a treat and sing in the music room. The thought brought a cruel smirk to her lips. Yeah right. And perhaps she wasn't happy that her parents were dead. She giggled; the sound was abruptly cut off by a surprised "Hn?" as she heard a shout from the front yard. I wonder what happened now, she thought, quickening her pace as she coveres the last few yards to the edge of the forest. She blinked when she saw her room mate knealung on the ground next to a dead bird and unconscience boy. "Well, well, well. What have you done to the poor creatures, Little Red?" Hitaru smirked again as she strode closet, crossing her arms under her breasts and tilting her head curiously.

His breathing was ragged and harsh; body covered in sweat as he pushed himself. The weights in his hands were heavy but his will was stronger as he lifted them. Just a few more to go.... Minutes later, Hilo dropped them, causing them to crash to the floor and leave a dent in the wood. But it hardly crossed his mind as he looked in the mirror. His upper torso was smooth, chest broad and slightly tanned. His rust red hair led in a line from his belly button into his pants. His muscular arms flexed in the mirror and he grinned. He was a sexy beast. He was in his room, unwilling for now to roam the Eden manor. Well this was better than prison. He hadn't had to bash a head in yet at least. From outside, he heard a cry. Short spicky hair waved as he turned his head and he blinked, seeing three figures in the front yard. "They're having a party and they didn't invite me," he said, opening the window. With a swift movement, he jumped, grabbing a nearby branch then swinging to the ground. "What's going on here?" he asked, walking over to the group. His eyes caught first the dead bird, then the red head beside it, then the unconscious man. "I blame the Liar," he immediately said, pointing to her.

Cerdic wasn’t sure what was going on. He thought he heard some people talking, but he wasn’t sure. Before he opened his eyes, he had to wonder why he was laying on the ground, despite distinctly remembering leaning against a tree. . . before he blacked out. Ugh! ANOTHER blackout?! This was getting out of hand! How long had he been out? Cerdic growled audibly and hit his fist on the ground. He sat up. Shaking his head to get the grass out, he reached up to pluck the remains of the blades of grass out of his hair. “Ugh! I’ll never get the grass stains out of my clothes. . . And I like this suit!” He muttered as he pat his back, feeling the obvious stains and wetness. It was then that he noticed the two females along with a man around him. One was a petite Asian and the other was a Caucasian redhead. The male had red hair as well. The Asian girl had her arms crossed and was looking down at him and the redhead. And the redhead was taking care of a bird in her hand. He ignored the man for now. While he wasn’t sure just what she was doing at first, it soon became apparent that the bird wasn’t moving. “Oh no!” He cried. “Is the bird okay? Can I take a look at it?” He asked, reaching out to put the small animal.

Avalon bit her lip to keep it from quivering while she pressed her ear to the birds chest to listen for it's breathing. She whimpered as she lowered the bird back into her lap and smoothed it's feathers, looking up at Hotaru. "Very funny, Ho. I didn't do this. I may hate you and everyone else in here but animals don't ask to get hurt." She spoke matter-of-factly, looking back to the dead bird in her lap. God, I didn't mean for everyone to rush over here to make a huge scene, She thought, watching as Shilo came from a tree. "Yep, always blame the liar for someone elses violent actions. It makes total sense. Then again, I wouldn't expect a primate to understand sense." Avalon spat out at Shilo, every word dripping with poison. She could tolerate Hotaru, Shilo just plain pissed her off. The red headed girl glanced to the man coming to, taking a deep breath. She was surrounded by three violents, and that didn't look good for her own chances. "It's already dead." Avalon whispered, gathering the bird back in her hands and cautiously handed the animal over. "What happened?"

Hotaru just gave the red headed girl a smirk and a wink. "If you must give me a nickname, then at least make it Taru. Trust me, sweetie, I'm far from a ho. Unlike someone else I could mention..." The last part was said somewhat under her breath. She turned and was about to walk away when deep male voice caught her attention. She turned slightly, looked the newcomer over, dismissed him and started to turn away again when she did a double take. Twice. Her honey-brown eyes slid over the male's form, a slight smile coming to her lips. Hello, sexy. Taru turned on her heel and walked back to the little group gathered around the bird. She started to open her mouth to speak when the seemingly-lifeless body on the ground next to Avalon suddenly sat up. Hotaru squealed in surprise and jumped back, tripping over a rock and falling on her ass. "Ssib!! Fuck!" Taru glared at the male as she rose up on her knees, rubbing her now-sore ass with both hands. "You killed it. Just before you passed out on the ground. What, did you hit your head so hard that you forgot?"

Hilo grinned down at the red headed girl, his tongue licking over his pearly white teeth. "It's not my fault if you've labeled yourself a liar and can't be trusted," he responded, a smirk on his lips. His grey eyes surveyed the situation; a male and two females. The one who did a double take on him. A petite Asian woman, dark haired. She was very interesting at first sight. Especially those eyes. The unconscious man on the floor awoke sitting up. Seemingly he didn't remember a thing. "You'll have to manage your anger better. Killing innocent animals will pissed a lot of people off. Me included." Hilo sat, his torso rippling as he moved to sit down. The bird was dead; it was pity. The poor creature didn't deserve this. "This kind of thing really sets me off too."

"What happened? I wish I knew. . .I probably had another blackout." Cerdic replied to the woman handing him the bird. He took it and smoothed down its delicate feathers. "Damn. . .It IS dead. . .I. . .I’m sorry Miss. I wish I knew what to say. Maybe we can bury it?” He asked the redhead. After saying that, the other two’s words hit him. Cerdic looked at the Asian and the male redhead. “I did this?” He looked back at the bird in his hands and raised it to his cheek. Cerdic closed his eyes. “I’m sorry little bird. . .I wish I knew how to make the blackouts go away. . .” He said to it. Sighing, he placed the bird on the ground. He then unbuttoned his vest and slid it off his body. He then carefully wrapped the bird in it. “I know this doesn’t mean much now, but at least you’ll be buried in something nice. It’s pure silk after all.” Cerdic said. He placed the bird on the ground again, a bit off to the side, and began digging a hole with his bare hands. It wouldn’t be the best grave ever, but at least the bird would get a proper burial. "I'm so sorry little bird."

Avalon barely glanced over her shoulder at Hotaru as she mumbled, "You shouldn't mumble, it's impolite." The girl grinned, "Besides, I know you're louder than that." She popped her tongue into her cheek, stifling a laugh at such an inappropriate time as this. She rolled her eyes at Shilo, mentally taking notes on his behavior as she continued to help the new man with the bird, patting down the dirt as he dug it up. Taking the bow out of her hair, Avalon took the bird from his hands and tied it tightly around the make-shift coffin with a defeated sigh. "It's too late now. I suppose it was meant to be. I just hope there aren't any eggs around here." She thought and ran her eyes over the tree, looking for nests. Her ears picked up on Cedric's seemingly inner monologue and shrugged it off. Everyone at Eden had their secrets and it wasn't up to her to release them. . . at least at that moment in time. Shaken out of her own thoughts, Avalon looked behind her as Hotaru stumbled and fell to the ground, shaking her head. "God, you're a klutz."

Hotaru stayed in her position on her knees, absently resting her hands on her ass as she watched the one who'd killed the bird try to make up for the action by burying it. A frown came to her brow as she tilted her head; her reddish-brown hair fell over her shoulder, almost brushing the ground. Pure silk, huh? She looked over the male's from, from his hair to his feet. Huh. To think someone on Eden could afford pure silk? The thought almost make her giggle out loud; her lips did curve into a girly smile. "God, you're a klutz." Hotary gasped in anger, glaring at her room mate. "At least I'm not a slu--- Did you say eggs?" Her honey brown eyes instantly scanned the trees around them trying to spot any sign of a bird nest.

Hilo watched the make-shift funeral happen, feeling remorse for the bird. What a short life she had lived. At least the pain had been zero. That was all that could be hoped for now. She would rest in peace now. His head turned as the two girls began bickering and he rolled his eyes; why were they roommates if they were always at each others throats like that? Then the Liar spoke of eggs. Eggs? His own grey eyes looked skyward for a nest. And he found it. Not in a tree but on the ledge of the old manor. "There it is," he said pointing towards it, "It's high up. But I might be able to get to it. I can't tell if Theres eggs in it though." But if there was..... If there was a ghost of chance of there being any, Hilo would make the climb.

"A nest huh?" Cerdic said, looking up at where the redheaded man was pointing. "...I get to it." He said. And he would. The bird's death was his fault. "If there are any eggs I'll take care of them." He said, starting his trek to the nest. Ignoring the others now, he didn't trust ANY of them so it would be good not to mention anything incriminating when he even suspected he was being watched. So he made his way to the wall and began climbing. It was easier than he thought it would be to climb up to the roof. In fact, every move he made felt fluid and perfect as if he had done things like this hundreds of times before. Cerdic didn't pause to wonder why. Now sitting on the roof, he looked at the nest...There was a single egg, one big enough for him to be able to tell that it was almost ready to hatch. So that was how it was, huh? Cerdic looked down when he thought one of the three had shouted something. It was too far away for him to make out whether or not any of them were looking at him, so he turned back to the nest. "Looks like you've got a new Daddy." He whispered. Grabbing the nest without breaking it apart, he made the climb down. One his way down, he spotted his room. Knowing at least two of the three probably wouldn't want him to keep the egg he opened the window with one hand and went inside. Cerdic glanced behind himself to see if the three were still there. When he noticed that they were he closed his window and locked it. If they wanted to come get it from him, they'd have to pry it from his cold dead fingers. He was going to make amends if it killed him. Speaking of which, if he did die, he'd have to let Jack know how he felt. "Time to write a letter." He said to himself. He did so right after he placed the nest down and covered the egg with a small electric blanket he had found while cleaning. He didn't know who had been here before him but he thanked God he had something to keep the egg warm.

Avalon looked to her roommate in disbelief before shaking her head. Hotaru didn't know enough about Avalon to make wild accusations like that. At least she cut herself off before finishing the comment. "Yes, Hotaru, eggs. You know, baby birds." Avalon lifted herself from the ground, dusting her knees off then pulling down on the edge of her shorts.
In the heat of the moment, the red headed girl forgot that she had been wearing only her bed shorts and a flimsy tank top, and that is was cold enough to send a chill straight threw her body. Avalon's eyes followed the path of Shilo's, finding the nest and crossing her arms. It was a good ways up, and even with her skills, she wouldn't have been able to climb the wall.
Pursing her lips, her dark brown eyes stared at Cerdic. Avalon raised her hand to Shilo, "He killed the mother, it's his job to get the eggs down."
His movements were graceful as he climbed the wall and sat beside the nest. Better than I could have done, that's for sure. Avalon took a few steps toward the castle as Cerdic made his way down but something about the situation didn't seem right. As he pushed open the window to his room, Avalon cursed and took off to the inside of the castle.

Taru glared and rolled her eyes at Avalon. "I know what eggs are. I'm not an idiot." She stood up the same time her room mate did, looking down at herself. She shook out and smoothed her sweater, making sure the off-the-shoulder collar wasn't showing more of her chest then it was supposed to. As she fixed her collar, her eyes peeked up at the red headed male through her bangs. A very light blush came to her cheeks, causing her to glare at him for no reason at all. "I'll get the---" She was cut off by Avalon saying that the other male should be the one to get them. She huffed, crossing her arms and cocking her hips to the side. She watched as Cerdic scaled the castle wall. She blinked when he made it to the top; she couldn't have done that even if she were a monkey with super glue for finger tips. She started to smile when she saw him coming down with nest, the smile quickly turning into a frown, then a glare when he suddenly disappeared through a window. "What the fuck?" She stood there in surprise for a moment before following Avalon into the castle, quickly drawing one of her switchblades from her pocket. When she reached the stairs, she took them two at a time, a difficult task for someone as small as she. She paused at the top of the stairs, looking down both ends of the hall way before going in the direction of the window.
