Respect;
First things first, R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Respect admin, respect fellow players, respect new players, everyone. Have respect and consider the other person before you send anything that could have negative effects on someone. If you two are friends and it's how you do things, keep it to a minimum at least so you don't disturb anyone else. But please be courteous to all.
Names;
When you register with OUT, sign up with whatever name you want but once you've activated your account, please change your name to the first middle and last name of your character. Ex; Gary James Sue.
C-BOX;
Be polite to everyone in the c-box. It's there to make it easier to communicate with the other players, so be respectful. If you're new to OUT, feel free to stop by and say hi. Ty, Lena and Hachiubi are all very nice and will answer any questions!
Application;
- Once you've started your application, you have seven days to finish it before it goes into the denied applications. If you decide to try again, just ask any admin to take it out and you have another seven days to finish it.
- Eden holds criminals ages fifteen (15) to twenty-five (25).
- Please, let's keep the boy-girl ratio even as possible. For every two girls you make, make a boy.
- If you want more than one character, get the first character established with five posts with other characters before starting a new application. We want to be sure you can handle more than one character at once.
- NO GARY SUE/MARY SUE. No one is perfect. End of story.
- Also, not everyone had a horrible up bringing. Try to find a middle ground to establish your character.
- If you want to make a character who is pregnant, or have a character impregnated, you must ask permission from Ty, Lena or Hatchiubi and from the owner of the character you are going to impregnate.
Face Claim;
- On OUT, we use live people. Actors, actresses, models, singers, etc. This means no anime, drawings, animals, so on and so forth.
- Let's be realistic with the ages and characters. You wouldn't use Johnny Depp to play a sixteen year old inmate.
- It's first come, first serve. If you get accepted and forget to post your face claim and someone else picks them as their face, they get it because you didn't claim it. If there is a face you want, and the person hasn't been on since the last activity check, bring it up to an admin and you may have it.
Roleplay Rules;
- When making a thread, each person must type at least 200 words. I know sometimes it's hard to get those creative juices flowing and we all understand that. But if it happens too often without change, we'll have to ban you for a bit.
- Posting - On this forum, we liquid post. Meaning that you can have a character in any thread at any time, you won't have to wait to be done with one thread to get to another. Also we turn-base our threads. Each person in a thread must answer with a reply or a skip before it's the next person's turn. Exceptions are if that person hasn't been on in, say, a week or so with no absence note.
- Post in the third person. Use 'he, she, him, her, they,' rather than 'I, me, you, we.'
- Godmodding is unforgiveable. You are only allowed to control your character and your character's actions alone. Just like in real life. Something like, "They both seated themselves," is fine but you can't go, "And Jane pushed Mary into the bottomless pit causing her to fall to her doom. " You don't know if Mary grabbed onto Jane to stop from falling and you can't assume it either. Three strikes, you're out.
- Let's try to keep things PG-13. If things get steamy, it fades to black. Sadly, Proboards is against the rated R fun that we all love!
- Drama is frowned upon! If something or someone upsets you somehow, either keep it in messages, or off the site. Don't drag other roleplayers into your arguments. You get one warning before being banned for a little bit. Multiple offenses gets you banned permanently.
- If for some reason you want to leave the site [i.e. quitting, taking a break, internet getting shut off, etc.], then let one of the Modifiers know! If you just suddenly disappear, then it disrupts the flow of posting.
- This is important. If your character wants to go somewhere that is not in the thread that you're currently on [Example: Going from the third floor to the gardens] then have your character actually MOVE through the threads that lead there. It makes it easier to track your characters movements, and prevents confusion rather than your character just randomly disappearing off of one thread and reappearing in anther.
Graphics;
Don't stretch the board! If your graphics do, it will be removed and a message will be sent asking you to fix it. If you don't know how to (password is rubber ducks) make your own avvie and signature, feel free to post in the graphics section and someone will be willing to help you!
Activity Check;
Because we want to keep our humble site active, OUT will have an activity check once a month. All you need to do is post your characters name inside the hosted event with an active thread from the week of and you're safe. . . for now.
Have fun. You never know how long you'll live here in Eden... Muwahahaha....
Anything else to add?
